Doing the dreaded garage door opener with the hi beam for power. I have a '07 FLHTCU. Anyone know which color wire is for the high beam? I'm horrible with wiring diagrams. I take it the neg goes to ground?

Thanks, now another stupid question (I hate electricity). Which color is the ground? I haven't tackled removing the fairing yet.

I think the yellow is for the low beams. When I modified my passing lights to stay on all the time, it seems to me that I found the passing light wire and the lo beam wire were tied together and they were yellow. I separated the two and ran the passing light wire to the hot wire on the aux switch.

Then again it could be that I am being influenced by this diagram.

I think the ground wire is black.

 

Yea, I was looking at the wrong one. It looked like it showed the yellow as high but it is for the wire above. Sorry about that. It is the white wire for high beam.

 

Thanks SiMITHBRL and DAWG. Finished it this morning, works great. White is hi-beam and black is ground for anyone else looking. Price was free as I had an extra 12v remote laying in the garage. If I can do it, anyone can.

 

white is brite and yellow is mellow......
