I was looking at a RG today at the dealer and noticed the seat was similar to my SG onlt a little larger for the passenger. It felt more comfy for the driver too. Will it directly replace the SG seat?

 

I think the Road King seats fit but not the RG according to the HD site.

 

I believe the SG dash is longer making the seat shorter. I am using the RK seat but I have the dash extension!

 

What year???? If it is an 08 here is my Street Glide with a Road Glide seat. Fits just fine.

 

Just remember that the 08s , I think are all6 gallon tanks, so they're longer

I did not no that. See how they change things.

 

A RG seat will fit any of the electraglide versions, but will not fit a RK, verse the RK seat will fit any of the other touring bikes but needs the dash extension. And yes an 08 needs to have an 08 seat on it.

 

Monstermile.....What is the seating position like compared to the stock FLHX seat? forward, backward, up, down?

Depending on the year. The RG seat has a longer nose to fill the gap at the tank.
For the most part the RG SG an EG frames are the same.
I have a EG seat with an extend nose made by HD on my RG.
