I have an 08 Street Glide and on a recent trip to bike week (Feb)I lost all throttle response, RPM's fell to idle. I was on Rt 95 S going 65 MPH. Coasted to the side of the road avoiding carsturned the ignition off, turned it back on and had throttle control again.The rest of the 3100 mile tripit worked ok.I have also had over idle sticking experences. Several dealers checked thebike and found nothing and would not report it to Harley because there were no parts or labor involved.I have hard of other people saying here is a problem .If anyone else has had electronic throttle problems please call Harley so we can get some response to thisbefor any one gets into an acadent.

 

Are there any 08' Harley Touring bikes that have experienced total throttle lose at high speeds? We have had this problem - went into forced idle mode. Talked to dealer but no answers yet.

I have an idle issue, some days it idles fine others idle is between 1800 and 2500 RPM. I plan to take it in soon but dread the ole "Well you changed the grips and handlebars, must be your fault" BS. Had the problem from day one but no way to prove it.

 

File a complaint with the NHTSA. They get a few and the moco will have to look into it.

i have had several issues on 08 touring bikes but the moco says theres no issue

 

Mine did it right after I got it in Sept. I pulled out of the driveway, and the engine light came on. It would run at slow speed, so I rode to the dealer, and they reset the computer. The code was the ride by wire. Since then I haven't had any trouble with it.

I've got the same problem. The local dealer said they have a few others with the same issue and they have reported it to the HD service rep. No solution yet.

 

At 6300 miles, no problems. I just put Iso-grips on last weekend. After 200 miles, still no problems.

 

I 've had the same problem with a high idle, you'll have to reset the ECM
turn therun switch to the on position and turn the ignition switch to the on position,count 4 sec and repeat 4 times this will reset idle if it happens again get it to the dealer Harley knows about the problem
