Default Sun Ray Premium Heated Seat

If anyone rides with one, I would love to know how long it takes to heat up?

I checked I have power to the seat, but my seat is not getting warm? The plug underneath smells burnt, but does not look like it... I checked the voltage and I have 12 volts.

HHHHMMM any suggestions? I think my seat is bad. I am lost... How can I check the seat?

Thanks

Check continuity across the two leads on the seat. It's a resistive wire, so yer gonna have SOME resistivity, but if it's got a broken lead, yer gonna have "infinite" resistivity. Might call the manufacturer an' git the value across the two leads - could be sumthin' else goin' on (like a bad ground connection).

My seat takes about 5 minutesin order to start feeling real heat. Make sure that you toggle your accessory switch on also if your seat is plugged into thepower sourceunder the seat.

Good luck!

OK, I checked power.... 12 volts at the plug... it looks like the seat is wired backwards? the positve on the Acc. plug is bottom left... the red wire on the seat is top left?

Is this wrong? Manufacture is the HD... who to call now?

i am confused, damn it

No joy!! I can't get the damn thing to heat... Got the fairing switch on, got power to the seat.. i got 1500 ohms resistance in the seat... although the power wire on the bike has 4 prongs... the seat has 2 red and black..... WTF is it operator error or is my seat F'ed up?

Anyone got any other ideas? What am I over looking?

I forgot I am now in Berlin, I cant just head back to the dealer where I bought it. I do not want to have to pay the Euro price to fix this, holy crap that would be ridiculously expensive..
