See what kinda money there talking maybe the 08 will drop in price when the 09's are available, I bought my 07 in aug last year and saved alot, But I had another bike to ride so that made it a little easier. Just my .02 Good luck, T

whadda u want to do..how soon do you want to ride...any trips already planned?...sturgis etc?

In 2010 they'll both be used....just do it!

First and foremost- thank you for your service. Second, since there's not a whole lot of difference in your delivery time, I'd wait on the '09. It's always nice to have something no one else has even if it's only for a little while. On the other hand, if you wait on the '09's, depending on what changes are made, there may be way fewer accessories available. So, I guess it comes down to how bad you want to feel that rumble between your legs.

I wouldnt wait on the 09.Ride it while you can.As far as problems on 07s,I wouldnt trade mine on an 08.Dont gain that much.ABS would be nice but not that big a deal and dont need a 6 gal tank( stop every 150 miles to stretch anyway)The people with the new model year bikes always seem to talk about problems with prior year bikes.None here and none with any buddies 07s.There is almost always improvements made but not always a big deal.
