Default Fender Reflectors FLHT

Anyone changed the bumper reflectors on the front bumper to something different? Perhaps something smoked or chrome? Here is a photo of what I want to replace to something that isn't amber but a little more subdued.

Try taking the bumper off. Looks better and cleaner without it. And the reflectors come off with it. Then pull the frame mounted ones off too and clean up the residue with lighter fluid.

buddy of mine wanted the bumper but hated the reflector. pulled the refelctor off and seems like there was one hole in the rubber portion. got a round black nylon screw kinda deal from lowes that filled the hole an dlooked pretty good.

10-4 head! You could also pull off the rubber bumper and re-mount it. Looks old school!

The downtube reflectors are simple to remove by hand.

So, leave the chrome frame and pull out the bumper? Any pics of what this looks like?

I started to take off the bumper out of the fender insert and realized that the clamp that holds it in from behind is not chrome. Has anyone done stuff different with the front fender insert other than purchase the Harley insert? I can't believe that I am the only one that thinks these reflectors are ugly.

Here are a couple before I went w smooth fender, check my photo album. If you want to keep the bumper w/o the rubber you can paint the bracket black so it's not noticable. The indoor/outdoor Krylon non-prep sticks pretty good.
