What did you pay for your Street Glide?
 

I am looking into the possibility of purchasing a 08 Vivid Black Street Glide. I saw one yesterday at my local dealer with all the fixings that I would like on it. Black frontend, ABS, Cruise Control, Security and more. It looked like it had the upgraded Rotors (Chrome). The dealer was asking 23K + taxes.... This is a bit steep. Just wondering what others paid. May be cheaper if I add the parts I want on to the bike. The ABS option is like $800!!

Anyhow the bike is sweet!!! But i don't know if I can justify spending that kind of $$$. I really dig the bike!!!

What do you guys think?

Looking to buy before the end of the month... Other choices are the Dyna Street Bob and Softail Cross Bones.

Look at buying a slightly used bike, i bought my 07 street glide last oct with 1000 miles on it for $16,700.

Paid little over $19 for mine OTD with the Crimson Red Sunglo paint. That price is WAY steep for vivid black. I would shop around. [8D]

Get the base like I did for a little under 19 then add the cruise later...... I didn't pay setup or freight either.

I would shop around, unless that dealer is theonly one aroundyou. I paid 17k for my 07 OTD, I got it after the 08 models were out, they were asking 20k for the new model.I couldn't justify spending the extra coin for just ABS alone.

I bought mine for 18,861.00 OTD. I have cruise and security no abs. The abs option would have only added another 795.00. 23k ???? Does it have a bar of gold in the saddlebag...

Paid MSRP+tax OTD. 08s have ABS option and the bermbos are sweet. The 6 gallon tank is a nice to have because I can kill a tank of gas in a few hours. I never use the cruise, I guess that was a waste for me. The security system/key fobis very nice not tofool with keys anymore. Used or new, get the SG. Touring models are Way better then the dynas or softys.

Paid 17,195 OTD for my 08 crimson red sunglo with cruise. No dealer set-up fee or crating charge either.

I paid MSRP (or will in a week, I hope) for crimson red sunglo, ABS and Cruise plus freight - all as listed right on the HD site, so $20,510. The dealer also includes the first service at no additional charge.

That sounds really high, especially for black.

I'm just waiting for mine to ship - it's scheduled for Friday...pardon the whine:(, but I WANT my bike NOW...I made the deal on March 3.

Find it hard to believe you paid $2,000.00 under MSRP for your bike. Either the dealer you bought from can't sell bikes or you got the deal of the of a lifetime!

Price is not bad considering the options and accessories you partially mentioned.AStreet Glide is a top seller and if you want cheap look for stock or used or Dyna or almost anything else. Especially this time of the year.

My 08 SG, Black Pearl w/ABS was out the door at 21k. I added 4k of chrome and goodiesto it. No matter how you look at it, it will cost you.

2008 Black Pearl SG with ABS, cruise and security: $19,900, plus freight, set-up and tax. But they gave me a killer trade-in of $15,500 on my 06 Fat Boy. I feel I got a great deal, especially with the trade.

$19,107 Out the door (incl. tax, registration, shipping, assembly, etc.) Then, Ihad to look at it for 3 1/2 months before I could roll mile one!

07 $17,600 b4 Tax, Tags, and dealers fees. I think it was $21,### OTD inc forks + labor, passing lights, and passenger and rider backrest w/docking hrdware. Installed PL and docking hrdware myself.

22800 otd w/rinehart true duals,race tuner all dyno's, highway lamps, detechable rider backrest and luggage rack ,cruise, pearl black, had it delivered 1st. wk of mar. got 760 mi. on it the wife and i love this bike, only complaint is the seat ordered a mustang yesterday ,topwop , det mi.

$20K OTD and yes that includes the 5 year (actually 3 year) warranty

wild hog...yep, $2000 under MSRP plus no set-up fee and no crating charge. Dealer is Vreeland's in Bloomsburg, PA. I also get 10% off anything in the store, parts included for as long as Iown the bike. I can scan the invoice and sent it out if you want to drool some more :)

Yeah, I know. I was surprised at it myself. I passed up two closer dealers to buy from this one. They are a great group of people and they will definitly get my repeat business. I guess there are still some good dealers out there...

Yes, I paid $4500.00 cash with a $14500.00 trade in so $19000.00 total out the door. 2007 FLHX Black Cherry,1000 mile service free,free alarm,HOG membership,and two battery tenders.Only because my Cousin was the finance manager at the Harley shop.

If you like the bike, then $23K is not too much at all. Just give them whatever you got for a down payment, and sign the dotted line for the rest. The feeling I get when I buy a new bike is priceless!

Talked to Capitol City HD in Wisc. a couple of days ago. Priced all the touring bikes and here is their deal. MSRP+Ship+ Setup-$2000. I called because to check if $2K was in accessories. It is not. And they quoted $500 to ship to Texas. Best deal onnew that I have found so far.

I paid a little over 23K for black pearl with ABS, security, cruise, 103 stageII, sert, V&H ovals and a few chrome goodies. Worst part is I've spent another 3K in the 2 months since I brought it home.
