Roadhog02... Did you need to remove your exhaust to do the install?

Thanks,
Greg

RE: T.W.R. Missing link . . . anyone???

I have one, but I'm not going to be much help for a few days. I'm sittin' in front of the computer workin' on the first drink of the evening after installin' the link & an oil temp. gauge. I haven't had a chance to ride it yet, in fact the fairing is still off. I have a wiring change to make on my garage door opener.

What I can tell you is that the seller is a stand-up guy. UPS lied about delivery & the seller got on the problem imediately. The parts are beautifuly finished, & fit is excellent. Droppin' the exhaust for one bolt is a PITA, but that ain't his fault.

I have the TWR missing link
It has tighen the bike up I do get more vibration but your going to get it with all of them tie the motor to the frame.
Yes you need to remove the exhaust the bottom bolt is counter sunk and you need to use a socket to tighten

Before I installed the TWR I could wiggle the bars and it would feel like the frame wiggled, now it soild the way it should be

I have this unit and it took me about twenty minutes to install. My Thunderheader was not in the way. Not much riding yet, but so far so good.

I had to unbolt the rear bracket and loosen both header bolts in order to get the to the bottom bolt. You don't need to move it out very much to get a rachet on it. Really simple installation overall.

Your Avatar is making me lean to the left. Not cool during an election year. Here's one on the right to bring balance.

Thanks to everyone who posted on this thread. Based on everything I've read on this forum and the CVO forum, I believe this is the best choice for me.

Here are my reasons.

#1 - The design does not interfere with my Wheeldock center stand.
#2 - The design does not require a bracket surrounding the entire transmission pan.
#3 - Looks like a fairly simple install.
#4 - The parts look to be very well made.
#5 - Price is better than many other units available.
#6 - The seller has nearly 1000 positive feedbacks on Ebay. PLUS . . .I love EBAY!
#7 - Lastly, everyone I can find who has installed it seems happy with the install and the results.

OK . . . this is my story and I'm stickn' to it! :D

I sent an email to T.W.R. asking him to look at this thread. I'm interested to hear back from him.

Maybe . . . just maybe . . he'll offer us a group buy deal. HINT HINT.

Regardless, I'm 90% sure I'll buy one within the next month.

BTW, GREG . . . You and i both know that we'll never be done messing with out bikes . . . Slow down, yes . . . stop, never.
