Give the Police seat a try before you throw money at a new one. We have an ex-FHP Roadking. The passanger half of a two piece touring seat mounted right behind it. That is a nice riding air seat. I am 6'1" and like the higher seat high for my long legs. If you want to unload the air seat many people buy them off Ebay. I just modified a 2005 police seat for a 1976 FL. My butt is much happier.

Dogmann, I think You can do better on the price. I do know there are alot of Police bikes down here in Fla. Check Cleremont, Brandon Maybe Tampa or Orlando/Sanford. Get a good one and have em do a inventory search, then just take a vacation and come get it.

If you are considering a used police bike being sold by a dealer, the dealer's service department probably serviced the bike and can print-out the bike's service records with the bike's VIN number.
The police models are also sold/leased to motorcycle escort businesses and returned annually for new bikes. That was the history of my '04 FLHTPI--leased for a year to a motorcycle escort business and returned at the end of a one year lease.
Some dealers install passenger footboards and two-up take-off seats to help promote the sales of used police bikes. If they don't, they are useful "tools" for negotiating in the deal if you plan to ride 2-up.
The HD dealer in Greeley, Colorado seems to have a lot of used police models--you might check them out.

Naples Florida HD has or had 3 white ones for sale. Give the seat some thought. It is made for a cop to sit in for 8 hours at a time. My buddy has one and loves the seat, he put the extra part on back for a rider. He is a cop in Texas and actually put police lights back on it for escorts. Kinda got strange looks on the way out to Sturgis with a "police" bike all loaded up. You can always add to the bike the things you want, radio, cruise, etc...
I am thinking my next bike will be a "police" bike.
