Roadking tech questions...........
Hello. New to the board, well, at least to posting on it. I have two questions, 1. Does anybody know the factory recommended tire pressure in both front and rear tires on a Roadking? 2. I had a big bore kit installed in my bike, (2001 FLHRCI) I also had to install a power commander due to the year of my bike, race tuning wasn't an option. The problem i am having is that the idle seems to be sticking. When i first start it up it seems to be running at a fast idle as if the choke were on. The problem is the idle doesn't want to kick down. It stays at this high level for 5 - 10 miles, not minutes. When it does kick down, the idle is great. It was doing this after the kit and before the power commander. I was hoping the installation of the power commander would remedy this, it has not. I can adjust the idle with the power commander, but that is the idle after it kicks down. Any ideas on how this can be adjusted or fixed? Thanks |
RE: Roadking tech questions...........
Your air pressures should be on a sticker on the steering neck of the bike. You need to adjust the Throttle position on your bike. Its pretty straight forward, just follow the instructions in the PCIII manual.

RE: Roadking tech questions...........
The ecm will bump the throttle up and act as a choke until the bike is warmed up.This can even happen at startup when the bike is warm. If the bike is running fine at operating temps after it's been running for a while, it sounds like the ecm is doing what it's supposed to. I wouldn't mess with it.
