Default DTT - confusion, which one??

Is this the one everyone's talking about? Seems like an awesome price, cheapest I've seen. I see a bunch of different versions when searching on Daytona Twin Tec, even on their site there's a bunch of different products. When people are referring to the DTT w/wideband 02 is this the one. Also, what's the difference between GENII and GENIII, can a GENII be flashed to 3?

the genII does plenty for me...the genIII is newer and does timing as well i believe....i run a DTT w WEGO II autotune....it rocks ...lots of us here have a great timing map....SpikeCT is the expert as he's just been published in HotBagger mag about the DTT...PhilM is also a wiz with that unit....both of em helped me

Anyone else ? Is the timing feature that great to not get a GEN II and go with a GEN III ?

The gen III version doesn't do timing............it's just an updated version of the gen II. And no, the gen II is not upgradeable to the gen III.

I've been running my DTT system since last August, and it's great. Much smoother motor, better throttle response, and I know that any little changes I make it will automatically adjust.

Thanks Steve. I've got my eye on a used Gen II right now. Hoping to get that in the next few weeks. Mine is running pig rich right now after going from the true duals to the Rinehart 2into1. By selling my SERT and buying a used DTT, it's about the cost of 1 dyno tune which I'm going to have to get to get it running right anyways so it evens out!

Once I buy it, you'll know about it, cause I'll be posting questions like a bitch. Did you weld your bungs in or have it done ? We ain't that far from each other, you're in southern maine right?

My Fatcat came with the bungs from the factory.

You'll really not have to do any dyno tuning at all............you'll be impressed how good the bike will run right after the install. The biggest key is the initial setup, free calibration of the o2 sensors, setting the TPS and IAC, load the basemap, and go riding. After 6 - 50 mile rides and applying the BLM's after each one...........you'll be about spot on.

Yes, Biddeford is in Southern Maine.............where are you located in NH?

I'm in Derry. OOB is about 70 mins from me if that. So, once you apply the BLMs several times, you're good to go and no more messing with it? (until I change something again right?)

I wouldn't count on getting much for your SERT. It wouldn't have any value to anyone.

I just sent my map to a guy on V-twin forum, he smoothed out the Alpha-N table, adjusted the AFR table for a bit better MPG, and advanced the timing a bit. I've applied the BLM's 6 times, and now they are about spot on...........very small adjustments as of last nights apply.

Biddeford is about 10 minutes south of OOB, have you ever been to Bentley's?

I used to 4-wheel with a bunch of guys from the Derry area, they called it "Quadville"........good bunch of guys.
