Whats the best sounding slip-ons for the potatoe-potatoe-potatoe sound IYO. Not including thunderheaders...too loud. Must be slip ons....deep & throaty
This will vary by taste, but for me the Hooker Tuned-Flow slip-ons have no equal. They're not quite as loud as the Thunderheaders, but they're close. Can't be sure if they would be too loud for you or not. They are very, very deep sounding.
It's what you think is the best. No 2 sets of ears hear the same so it has to be what you think is the best.
For sound I like the old style SE's, sounds like a Harley should but loud. I am using the new SE's 64895-07A and really like the sound(not to loud but can hear them) they do not interfer with the radio to bad. I think these pipes are as loud as you can get and still hear the tunes good.
I just put Rush 2" Slip Ons on my 08' EGC... Love the sound... Nice deep rumble at idle, barks really well when the throttle is cracked and can still hear the tunes on the HWY...
My FLHT had Samson rolled thunder s/o's on itwhen I bought it. I was used to the straight pipes on the shovelhead I rode so it took me a while to get used to a tamer exhaust but I like the rolled thunders now. Great looking, they have agood but not obnoxious sound at idle, sounds good when I get into it. Hearing the radio is not a problem either.
