Just installed a set of V&H OS Titans on my 19 CVO RG. They sit offset of center, is that how they are designed? I assume with a bike that has standard saddle bags it would look cool to have them angled out but it looks off with the extended bags and fender.
It definitely won’t shift over by loosening. The bracket that comes with the exhaust should be offer more to the bag to bring the cans under the oem mounting point. Going to try reuse the stock brackets and rotate the cans 90 degrees.
Ok. I think they didn’t take into account the extended bags. On standard bags they would look fine. Now I need to get them to admit it or send a new bracket. If they admit they aren’t centered and it’s their design at fault I can get JP to take them back.
Could be a design flaw. It bothers me so I’m going to see if they will correct the issue or take the exhaust back so I can find one that sits where it’s supposed to sit.
Looked at my RGU for comparison...the ovals sit straight, they use a similar mount to OEM so definitely a design flaw. If it wa son purpose they should state in their product description that they are angled.
Update. Can’t move van into correct position after loosening everything. The bracket is the culprit. Going to see if V&H and JP will work with me on this. If not I am going to see if can bend the bracket or have a new one made.
why not remove the bag and see how it lines up with the bag support before blaming this on a deisgn flaw from a reputable company. Im sure they were designed with stock bags in mind
