How do you install Vibe-Rider on 2008 touring bike?
 

Has anyone installed a Vibe-Rider on a 2008 touring bike? The wrenches at the dealership tried to install my V-B today on my '08 RKC but could not figure out how to attach it to the ECM without breaking the connector or possibly damaging the wiring harness. Has anyone done the install? How did you attach it to your ECM? Any help would be greatly appeciated.

UNREAL! Of course the sealer couldn't get it installed, they were laughing too hard to work. Dude, If you need this for your ol' lady, whatever, you have way more serious problems than you know.If they can't figure it out and she is still in need, let me know, I'll take her for a ride on my shovel. I can't believe you would attach such a novelty to a fine motorcycle ECM. Well, to each his own, but this looks like a good start of a new thread, "how to detect non-bikers on motorcycles" ..............

What a sad, sorry accessory to plug in line to a fine motorcycle ECM. To the author of this thread, you want vibration, go buy an old jap bike, back off all the motor mount bolts until they move in place and ride it instead of violating a perfectly good HD!

Install is not going. Don't have the time anymore to trace the wires to find the tach wire. Will wait till after my move.

No, the VB is not for me. It will go on the p-pad. Plenty of members have posted good reviews of this novelty item. Thought it was something fun and funny to add to my bike.

The bike is mine so what I do with it is my call.

To all those naysayers...you obviously havent seen this in action. I saw my first one at the Lauglin River Run, and had my wife try out the demo bike. (After a few drinks...she'll try anything!) The reaction was immediate as a glazed look came over her face and she slightly leans forward to increase the contact. My wife already gets hot on the bike, and with this...she was dripping! Needless to say, I bought one and installed it after the ride.

We have gone on several rides since then and she still loves it!

BTW: it has nothing to do with your ECM, nor will it affect your electronics. It only uses the negative coil wire to trigger the speed of the device...much like a tach. If you have a tach..you can even tap into that wire.
