Default 2016 Electra Glide Ultra Classic Security *HELP*

Sold my ‘06 and Bought a ‘16 FLHTCU. Didn’t come with any Fabs. Want to enable the security and put in the Smart Siren.

2 questions. Is there a way for me to determine what the code is? And secondly, can new fabs be paired to this system?

Please forgive my ignorance but question… if the previous owner disabled security with the code, does it simply not arm itself again? I don’t know how I’ve been riding it all along. The alarm system is in the bike and plugged it.

Try the last six numbers of VIN.
Also there is a default code from the factory which I cannot remember......which is supposed to be changed by the owner on delivery.

If it did not come with any fobs and it starts the bike does not have the security system. You'll have to acquire a security system consisting of a new BCM, antenna and fobs. It will require a dealer or Indy visit to marry the new BCM to the bike.

Thats what is confusing me. It does have the system in it. Snapped into place with 2 plugs on it. The guy said he might have the fab laying around but he never used it and said he didn’t program a code. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I am trying to avoid going to the stealership. But I don’t know anything about the security system.

I am not being prompted for the code. Which makes me think once it’s entered the system doesn’t turn back on?
I know nothing about this system. Just that it is in place in the bike and plugged in.

I may just buy a new one and plug it in. Would be cheaper than having Harley diagnose it.

Im an idiot. I didn’t realize the BCM is there with or without alarm. I’m guessing it isn’t equipped. Will have to purchase one. Told you I don’t know 💩 about this. Lol.

If you don't see the antenna plugged in next to the BCM you don't have a security system. The systems are frequently on eBay. It will still require programming by H-D or any Indy with the right equipment.

no, it doesn't work that way. inputting the code is only good for one ignition cycle. shut the bike off, you're gonna have to input the code again.

Are you sure the PO didn't lose the fob on the bike? It sounds like it is getting a code from somewhere. If there is a security system, you have to have a fob or a pin every time you start up.
