The dip is the exhaust, the only way to fix it would be to build a custom pipe until M8 Softail pipes come to market for bigger motors. Regardless this dip cannot be felt when you are riding the bike, power is instant.

Here's an update from our latest from our M8 testing: We're now at 160Hp/147Tq in full street trim on pump fuel, air cleaner in place, and a true "street friendly" exhaust. These aren't the highest numbers from this round of testing but this is the best representation of this combination. I really feel we aren't far from the 170's, we are still changing parts and our quest continues.

JD’s Cycle Works also just did my bike...2018 CVO RG stock 117 with stock headpipe (de-cat) with Fullsac 2” baffles in stock cans with TTS tuner...102hp and 123 ft lb torque. Very happy so far. Probably will jack it up some point in the future...

I had mine built 20k miles ago. Running D & D 2:1 with head work, cams. HP 100 TQ 110. JD’sCycleWorks in eastern Pa.
