Default Tips on changing front motor mount???

Anyone that can shed any light on this, I'd appreciate any advice or tips. My manual doesn't have anything about this operation.
Probably because it's as old as the bike and they didn't realise it would be as big of a problem as it is!

Remove the fuel tank, strap the engine to the backbone frame rail, slowly lift the engine from the motormount, replace and ride. Kinda simple job once you do it, if you change to a vibra-ride or some other type of poly bumber instead of the rubber one you will get more life out of it.

And even simpler using a jack under the motor.

Well, I've got good news and bad news.
Firstly, and don't anyone ask which is the good and which is the bad, it wasn't a bad rubber engine mount. It was the bolts that hold the upper plate to engine block.
One was gone the other was loose. They are 3/8" grade twelve 1 3/4 inches long. They also require a thick stainless washer on top.
One of my trucker friends just got me what I need in Toronto, he's be home tonight with the goods. I've changed out the rubber mount, the original one didn't show any signs of damage, but it does have 70,000 kms on it, so I put the new one in.
For those that are interested the part # now ends in a D. I guess this is the fourth generation of this part. Hopefully they got it right this time.
Everything shoould go back together fairly easily now.
The two tutorial articles were very helpful.
thanks again folks.
