Default PICS - S&S Oil Filter/Cooler Setup

A few pics of the cleaner looking oil cooler setup that I'm going with.
Abandoned the Jagg setup I was using...actually, I sold it after seeing the potential of this setup.
The mount is a 1 piece oil filter mount from S&amp\\;S, polished billet.
It also has 2 ports that can either be plugged or plumbed.
I drilled my highway bar, installed AN fittings &amp\\; braided lines.
This is the result.

OH YEAH...
This setup is about $125 cheaper than the Jagg setup...in case anyone wanted to know.

be carefull that you did not get any shaving inside those tubes cus they'll go in your oil and possiblly mess the motor up, but it does look like a cool set up, i dig it.

Just out of curiosity...when it's time for an oil change, will you pull the braided lines and drain the oil from the highway bars?&nbsp\\; Is the lack of oil to the motor a concern while the highway bars are filling with oil? &nbsp\\; The setup looks interesting.

I drilled/tapped the holes...blew air through the bar...then pressure washed the inside...then more air...then used KREEM tank cleaner inside the bar...then pressure washed again. I didn't use the KREEM tank liner, only the cleaner. After all this was done, I poured some oil in it to coat the inside, prevent it from rusting.
&nbsp\\;
As for how hot the bar gets, I haven't run it yet. My buddy has the same setup using the Jagg filter mount and rubber hoses. You can actually lay your hand on the bar and hold it. His temps average 180-190*.

Hope it works for you. I'm skeptical&nbsp\\;due of the lack of cooling fins that are there to stir up air turbulance on the metal fins, this is what draws heat from the oil. Wonder what kind of mess you would have if (God forbid) you went down and those bars split or cracked open?

If I lay it down, the highway bar and the mess will be the least of my worries.
No different than the Jagg cooler bursting. Actually, a rock can bust the Jagg cooler. I doubt a rock could bust the highway bar.
