by far my adjustable backrest was the best upgrade I have made...hands down!

I had RJ's... They're top quality, but I did have difficulty using the adjustable backrest with them installed.

I have the adjustable backrest on my 2001 SE RG and it is great. I have adjusted it a few times. I do not have the heat shield and so far have not needed them.
