I just used Permatex copper silicone on my pipes a couple of days ago and it seems to be working.

Ride well,

IMO it makes no difference what your using, its going to heat up way hotter then most of it can stand, and burn off.&nbsp\\; If not it seals, and if it burns off carbon takes its place.
&nbsp\\;
The biggest benifit is it helps lube the pipes to slip together.

Copper silicon works great. I would suggest letting it set for 24 hours!

Why do you need it?&nbsp\\; Put on slips-on etc. without overly stressing the pipes, torque the clamps, run it up hot, let it cool, torque the clamps, leak free...
