Default NEW! Vivid Black 2009 Street Glide

Yup, others were right - don't ride one unless you intend to buy!

A quick shot of my new toy as I was hurrying up and waiting for the credit union and insurance company to get it together so I could leave the dealership.

FYI, those of you in central Texas, if you are in the market for a new HD or accessories, I highly recommend making the ride to Horny Toad HD in Temple - great group of folks, and a square deal...tell 'em Ron sent you...

Beautiful Ron! Buying a new '09 feels great, doesn't it? The new changes make for one incredible ride!

Best of luck with the new wheels. You must be all grins and bugs in the teeth and stuff.

Thanks everyone - I am totally stoked (!), and going on a ride tomorrow morning with my buds. Looking to do 500 miles this weekend! (one can hope, right?)

Cloudking09: Yea - I rode a '09 Pewter, and after about 1 min, decided that was the bike for me - in black, of course!

Shadowchaser: I am thinking a seat mod - while I am close to flat footing, I am a short S*B! There is a local guy that comes highly recommeded...after that...

I cant believe how smooth this bike is. It was about 45 miles home from the dealership, and she had 15 miles when I picked her up! So I am past the initial break-in, time for some 5K revs!

I did notice that at highway speeds, the stock windscreen had issues over 65mph. I am not a tall guy, so to flat foot it at a stop sign I need a lower seat - so far suggested is a Mustang (Sport Tour Solo?). Any thoughts on that and a windscreen that wont make make head bobble at 65mph+?

Thanks,
Ron

Talking

Hitone: Actually, a good friend of mine traded his 07 UC on a 09 UC the same day I made my deal on my SG (yes, it is partially his "fault" i have a 09 SG in my garage right now). So, beware of friends bearing HD trades!
