Default Which factory cast wheels will fit '98 RK Classic?

I am considering changing out the laced wheels on my '98 Road King Classic for a set of factory cast wheels. Which models/years of wheels should I be watching for to get an easy swapout?

Thanks,
Craig

any dual disk up should work. from 2000 and up you will need to swap out the bearings to 3/4 "

Yup. The 8 spoke cast rims should work just fine. Most of them came in black, although in 2003 they did make some in gold for the 100th Anniversary models. I've seen some people chrome them also and they look pretty decent.

Thanks for the replies! I've been researching this through past posts, but I wasn't sure when the axles changed, or if there were any other changes.

Is it a big deal to swap out the bearings?

If the bearing change isn't a big deal, I have a set of 06 Street Glide wheels for sale. Let me know if you are interested.

When I was considering a wheel swap on my '04, I spent about 10-15 minutes perusing the parts books for several years before and after my model year to check on the bearing and pulley part numbers and noting the differences, if any. With that information I knew what would be a bolt on and what would need new bearings.

Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the tip on the parts catalog. I'll find one online an check it out.

And there's a PM on the way to you, hoz88.
