Default Rhino liner on bottom of bags..

Know a Rhino liner dealer in town (the stuff that is sprayed in the bed of a pick up). Thinking about seeing how much he would charge to spray the bottom half of my saddle bags with the black liner. I know it will have a rought texture, but I figure if I tape the bags off properly, say leaving only the bottom third to be covered, I was thinking it might not look too bad. with the bugs, rain and my g/f the bags take a beating. what do you guys think? anyone done this?

I'm thinking the same thing, except just on the very bottom. Mine are all scratched up from taking them on and off.

Exactly what I am talking about stro, just the bottom third or so of both bags and maybe the entire front (minus the lid part) that faces into the breeze and take all the strikes....can't get the idea outta my head..i can't be that expensive to do..

yes, let us know. I've heard that after some time in the sun and elements it starts to turn grey. I definitely wouldn't like that.

They have a conditioner you can put on it now and again.

The spray on liner does turn somewhat gray after some time in full on sun that not many bikes see and the bottom of your bags may never see. The Rhino liner is a little softer than the Line X. Ask to see a sample because they are not all the same as my company found out. The crap that was sprayed in some of their trucks peeled up. The Rhino and Line X are the 2 top products. They can color match but the colors fade faster than the black but it does take a few years to fade it. You bring in the bags and they will tape them off where you want it. Find someone who will listen to what you want and you will get a good job with some good clean lines. I do not have my bags done yet but will in the future. I work with company's with large fleets of trucks and get to see how they hold up. I think it's a great idea if you plan on keeping your bike for some time.

I have a custom I built a few years ago, this past year I Linex'd all the sheet metal. I was surprised at just how 'glossy' the finish actually is.

It is a bullet proof finish.

I'm not sure you can do the "Bottom Third" if you are talking about the sides.
The Rhino lining is a lot thicker than paint and the edges wouldn't blend in.

Just the bottom would work.
