Great source for Heim Joints for shift linkage
#11
I recently purchased four Heim Joints from eBay Motors for $16.00 with shipping and swapped them out. Now have two extra. What I did notice is that using these joint increased the length of the shift linkage slightly which drooped the toe shifter down a little. Well I wanted to raise the toe and had to cut 3/8" off of each end of the shaft. Then increase the length of the thread by the same using a tap and die set. This allowed the toe shifter to be raised a little higher and dropped the heel a little lower. Now I don't have to raise my leg as far to use the heel shifter and have more room up front under the toe shifter. The pic below show the new and old joints before installing.
