I am new (1st post) but have been watching y'all talk. Very informative and helpful. And I have tried searching for this and couldnt find the answer. What is the difference between the 94-96 and 97-up Touring docking hardware? i have a SG and want the 2-up luggage rack (53743-97) but always looking for a deal. what is the difference between that one and the same looking rack that fits 94-96 (53637-96)? What is it that HD changed? Is it just an obsolete part #? Can i make it work? i have tried several searches to no avail and I believe I know more about Softails and Touring bikes then the 'kid' behind the parts counter.
