Default Beater Bike?

OK so I don't really want to ride my 2008 UC all winter and trash it. But I still want to ride and, in Washington, that means I am gonna get wet and slimy.

I have a 2005 FXST that I lowered a little in the rear, added a Night Train seat, and dropped the handlebars with Fatboy risers. It is a fun bike.

I have been thinking of selling it to buy a supermoto for something to ride in the winter.

But then I thought: might as well just ride the FX since I already have it and I love it. But I hate to see it get trashed.

So I was wondering, any of you guys got a beater bike you ride in the rain?

Lets see some pix.

I ride my Goldwing until it gets below 25* out. I cant take it below that. At least I know I could beat it. It can take it and it has a killer warranty

Default Beater bike

I puchased a Sporty for a beater bike, and it quickly became one of my favorites. I still like it for inclimate weather since it's easier to handle on wet roads. It's also a bike that's easier to pick it up if dropped, and I worry less about it if I need to park it outside somewhere where it may not be too secure.

Is your Ultra going to melt if it gets wet?

A little rain now and then ain't going to hurt it. The engineers thought about that when they designed it.
