Default Tour Pak Lites

Guys, My 09 Classic ship date is Dec 15th. I'm one of those guys who is taking the $2k diff between the Ultra & Classic to do what I want. Goin' do all the work myself. Has anyone added the Ultra lights to a Classic tourpak? Looking for any help you can provide. Thx.

I guess you could add the lights never heard of anyone doing that. It will require cutting holes in your tourpak. Most that want an Ultra style tourpak just buy one.

Your best option is the LED brakelight wing. They look good and are functional. I have one on both of my tourpaks.

A buddy of mine did one a number of years ago and said the template that comes with the kit makes it easy to cut out the area for the Ultra Brake light kit. His looked like it was done at the factory

I did the lights and the job is easy. There is plenty of space for error, just mask the template, mark it and cut. It will hurt and you will be nervous but if you mask it right it is about a 10 minute job. Believe me the lights give you room for a cut that it not perfectly square. Go ahead... read the directions and do it. PM me if you have specific questions. Good luck, you'll be proud of your work and your bike!

Have a ball. It's not difficult. I have friends who are too nervous to drill the holes for a tour pak luggage rack. Use masking tape (more than needed) around the area you will be cutting (over the paint) to keep from chipping. It's also easier to draw on or mark on than the painted tour pak.

It would be so nice if HD would just put an LED in each bag and the tour pack. Sure would make night time events easier.

I have the 07 Classic also. I think the Classic is a much "cleaner" looking bike and it has all I need for my style of riding. Not worth trying to make it an Ultra to me.
