Default 08-09 Touring Rear Brake Noise

Ok, I know that this may be old news but I figured I'd toss it out there in case any newer 08-09 Touring owners were not aware of it.

I've had an annoying rear brake squeal on my 08 Ultra for quite a while. Seems to happen only at slow speed or just as I come to a stop, or at least that's the only time I can hear it. It wasn't really that bad but just enough to bug me.

Anyway, did a little checking and it turns out the MOCO has a Service Bulletin (No. M-1228) that provides an anti-noise kit No. 41852-08A. This a warranty issue and so the parts and labor for the fix are at no charge.

Had a nice break in the weather yesterday so rode in and got the work done. No more brake noise. I didn't realize how much that little bit of noise was bugging me until I got it fixed. Silence is golden!

I hve it in a PDF file on my computer but have no idea how to reduce the file size so it will show on the post.

I really don't think you'll need a copy if you just call your dealer and give them the SB number.

Get rid of the stock HD pads and go with the Lyndalls. No noise or brake dust and rotor friendly...
