Right now I have the street glide setup and I like them better than the pancake turn singles. But thee billet boys led break light is very bright. They are so bright that if you look at them directly they will make you blind for a few seconds. Here is there web site http://store.billetboys.com/merchant2/ They are a little expensive but they are worth it very good quality.

I just read this on another post. Hope this answers your question. At least you have a section number to look up yourself.

24952. A lamp-type turn signal shall be plainly visible and understandable in normal sunlight and at nighttime from a distance of at least 300 feet to the front and rear of the vehicle, except that turn signal lamps on vehicles of a size required to be equipped with clearance lamps shall be visible from a distance of 500 feet during such times.

Nightsters come from the factory with a Brake/Tail/Turn combo built in a stock turn signal housing. Don't see why it's any different for a touring bike.

exactly what i was thinking. just to make sure that i was on the same page as you, i went to their website. i couldn't find anything that resembled an integrated brake light/turn signal. how about a part number or something?

It's not illegal,it's unlawful.I think you must have something similar to stock,in the stock location.Perhaps the brake/turn combo and some small bullets? www.heavycycles.com

I read a thread here a couple days ago where a CA guy had some sort intergrated turn signals and he got a ticket for not having them at least 9" apart like anubisss said.

As I stated in another post. DOT sets the standard for lighting laws. All states that I am aware of have adopted the basic DOT rules for lighting and equipment. One of those laws is you cannot replace any of your lights with lights that are not DOT approved. Look on the lens of the light for the "DOT" embossed letters, if they are there you are good to go, if not you might get a ticket. (if your lights look legal, there aren't too many cops that are gonna give them a very close inspection)

After thinking about it; I do not think it would be safe. From a distance the guy behind you would not be able to tell which direction you want to turn the turn single might look like a flash yellow light.
