She's Weeping! But why?

She's Weeping! But why?
I seem to have developed a minor weep of oil at the bottom of my front cylinder, just behind the push rod plate. After a hundred and fifty miles or so it looks a little damp. Can be dabbed up with a paper towel. Very strange, just did 20k service. I'm going to check to make sure both breathers to the air cleaner are clear. I hope I won't have to rip top end off to replace a couple of O-rings. Any idea's?

Sometimes they leak oil at the head gasket, travel down the stud holes and show up on the outside of the base o-ring even though the base ring is pefectly fine and doing it's job. Look up at the head gasket as see if it's dry up there. It still may not show it, as it hasn't reached the outer part yet. Short of that, clean it all off, ride short distance and see if you can find the first tell tail sign. If that shows nothing except a wet spot at the base, pm me and I'll explain how to test the head gasket.

10/4 will do, and thanks. I used to be in the air conditioning business and we could add a red dye to the freon and you could find leaks pretty easily. I removed the air cleaner last Saturday and got in there with a flashlight and felt around with my fingers and havent found any oil any where except at that base and it migrates between the cylinders and over to the left side as well after 200 miles.
