I've heard that Harley had Gerbing make the gloves with less heating wire in them. I rode today at 33 degrees and cloudy and my hands were plenty warm in my Harley Gloves. I see no reason for a temp. control.

I want to amend that post. According to Gerbings web site, the gloves by themselves are only 27 watts, with a 2.2 amp draw, so the 3 amp fuse in the battery tender hookup should be big enough if you are only using the gloves. Used in conjuction with another product, such as the jacket liner, it would not be big enough.

Add up the total wattage, divide by 12 volts, and that will give you the amp draw. Your fuse will need to be of higher amperage than the total currrent draw.

Tourmaster has heated gloves they call Synergy. They use carbon wiring, are waterproof, have a 3 heat setting, a Y harness and motosport.com sells them for $125.99. Mine should be here tomorrow or Tuesday.

My HD gloves have the same warranty as the Gerbing. The HD jacket liner has the plugs for the gloves in each sleeve. My HD gloves get plenty warm and the jacket liner gets too warm. I have the dual controller and keep the gloves turned up and the jacket liner turned down to stay comfortable.

I haven't seen the Gerbing G3 gloves, but some here have said that they will not go over their jacket sleeves far enough, where the HD do fine.

Default The whole set

I have the whole set...gloves, pants, jacket, on/off switch and dual thermostat from HD and socks from Gerbing.

You want a testimonial? How about 11 trips since Thanksgiving covering 1500 miles throughout central and northern indiana...average temp in morning 22 and afternoon 34 degrees.

Very toasty EXCEPT on highway at 75 mph and under 32 degrees ambient. The dual thermostat is a MUST because if you are riding in and out of traffic and highway, and you cannot stop to change your temp, you need to preset some controls

I received the Tourmaster Synergy gloves today. Well made goatskin with waterproof membrane. The three position controller rides on the right wrist and is push button. Cannon plugs are solid. A visor wiper is on the left index finger. Even has a plug to keep water out of the battery harness plug. I'll hook it up tomorrow and give it a test run. They're a bit snug but maybe they'll mold to my hands.

I have the exact same set-up. I however, have not been able to put that many miles on mine yet.

One thing to note: neither comes with a thermostat, but the HD gloves to come with an on/off switch that the Gerbings do not. If you like that switch in lieu of the thermostat, it's only ten bucks.
I have HD gloves and jacket, friend has gerbing, both new stuff.

My gloves are bulkier than his and a lot less leather.
His jacket is better in several ways, mainly his coller is heated and mine is not, his connection is more like a "wall outlet" where mine is like an extension cord thats a little too long.

Yea, I realize Gerbing made it for HD, but HD must have said " make it a little cheaper, cut a corner here and there so we can still be competitive on the price"
