Default Front/Rear Engine Guard

I have a 2006 Road King Classic and i am going to replace the stock front engine guard to a Linby Twinbar with the fold down highway pegs. My question is has anyone removed the stock rear guard entirely and not replaced it, or have put on a rear Linbar? Just wondering how it would look/function without one or should i go ahead and get the rear Linbar also? Thanks for any input.

Haven't used the Linby. However, I have removed the rear crash bar so my wife with shorter legs would be more comfortable. HD has a kit to do so. I have subsequently dropped the bike twice (Road King with hard bags) and once it put a small scatch in my bag, the other time all was fine. My best bud with a RK Classic also removed his. In my opinion both bikes look much better with them gone.

I have a linby on the front and i also have removed the rear guards...but i have been thinking about getting the rear linby for added safety. A friend has them on his bike and they will protect the bags and they look good.
