Default Auto Gem Shotgun lights as turn signals

Has anyone wired these up so they are run/brake/turn?

I was thinking of adding these and then adding the Badlands module which does the run/turn/brake + load equalizers for front and rear.

I am planning for these to be my only turn signals in the rear...hoping they will be bright enough. Should have pleanty of run/brake in the back with these and LED lay down taillight lens and the Tri-Bar.

Does anyone know if you get the blue dot option with clear glass and red LED if it cuts down the brightness at all? Thought this would look good with the blue dot on a Dark Blue Pearl Road Glide.

Also was thinking about forgoing the plug and play harness and going to HD and get the AMP end connectors and plugging them right in the tail light board where the old turn signal light bar was plugged into. This way I will have no splicing and can always switch it back if need be.

Thanks for the help.

Mine are wired to be rear lights only. If I had wanted to wire them the way you are talking about I would have the LED version.

I use mine only as additional brake lights. I didnt see enough variance between the run function and the brake function. I would use them only as brake and turn, leaving the running lights unused so that you will have better visability of brake/turn.

I am thnking of just getting the amber with the clear lens and kust using them as turn only.

I will still have a smoked LED run/brake in the stock location and the run/brake with the new Tri-Bar light in the Street Glide Fascia.

I guess this way I will only need to get a load equalizer instead of that and a run/brake/turn module.

That would save save some money since the load equalizer is almost half the price from Badlands.

Just hate for me to change my mind later and then not have the run/brake/turn module and have the lights in amber instead of red, would have to start all over again.

No one has these in LED and uses them just as turn signals?

I did find out that I am going to have to stick with the clear lens because they are a sealed unit.

ncbeast,
Buddy of mine has the lights to install, hasn't done it yet.
Can't really help you with that.

However, I have a brand new Badlands module for sale, $75 to your door.
PM me if interested.
