Beg to differ; stock = stock, not CVO. IIRC, the 103" Power Pak also has the stock cams.

This the correct info on this question. The 255's come stock in only one line of bikes, the CVO 110.

I've ridden both cams quite a bit, and by far prefer the 204s for a 103.

I'd run the 204's up to about 10:1 static compression, which would return a corrected cr of about 9.4. It's still tuneable at that compression, but you'd need a good tune to avoid detonation. I like the SE rockers with 204s or Andrews 37 cams in a 103 for a little more lift. I've always considered the 204s to be "torque" cams, and a very good fit for the touring bikes.

My biggest knock on the 255s for a 103 is mostly that I think there's other cams that offer better performance.

Cams, cams, cams. Go to: screaming eagle pro/d/l catalog/continue/page 81. HD list the base and stage cams torque and HP curves.(stock 103cu) being I have a 2012 flstc w/warrantee I will be using a factory cam. I ride 2 up on mt. back roads and mostly 2 lane blacktop. not a freeway cruiser. Mostly run under 4.500 rpm. Its 6500 miles and time to go stage 1 and a non epa cam. by looking at HD data its easy to see the best all around cam for a STOCK HD bagger is a SE 204 ($330.00). Direct bolt in replacement. no cam (listed by HD) has more torque between 3,500 rpm and 5,600 rpm. where I spend 90% of my riding. the SE 255 runs out of TQ way to early for my style. The SE 204 also has the best power curve for a stock build with strong pulls up to 5,800 rpm according to HD dyno charts.
Staying with the HP & torque theme I went with the KN #RK-3910-1 ($200.00)which according to the dyno boasts a 10.7 HP increase over stock @5200 rpm. right in my SE 204 range and 10.8 lbft @5200 rpm.
I went with Rush racing #8020-250 2 into 1 exhaust system($580.00). Again because of torque not so much of the top end HP. And looks the best to my eyes. happy trails and safe trips.

What would you recommend for a 2011 103" Street Glide?

Thanks

Ummmm. 4 year old thread. What one person likes is not what you may desire. Torque cam? Performance cam? A little of both? Bolt in? Head work? There are plenty of cam threads that will help. Woods, SE, Andrews; S&S, too many list. 100 different people may state 100 different cams.

Big fan of Andrews cams....My 95build has a 26 and a torque monster...The 48 will kill it.

Really don't know why I'm putting my 2 cents in a very old thread but here's a dyno just done on andrews 48 cams. They will not kill it imo. By the way, this is a 96' motor.
