Default 13" Apes on 2010 Road Glide?

Just scored a great deal on a 2010 Road Glide Custom. However the stock bars suck being as tall as I am and I had 16s on my RK. So I ordered some 13" LA CHOPPERS Twin Peaks. I have heard you can go 14's with no wire or cable change is this true all you need to do is nice the clutch cable to the outside? Any issues I will run into internally wiring the cruise and throttle by wire?

Are you sure the 13's are what will be most comfortable ?? Did you solely base your choice on "ease of internal wiring" ?? Will suck if they aren't 'what the doctor ordered', and you end up changing them out for taller ones.
If the 16's on your RK were comfortable, and you are now dropping down to 13's on your RG....are you hoping for the same comfort ??

Swapping out bars is most always an adventure....enjoy.

Let us know how that goes.
I put 12.5" apes on my 2010 RG and it required both brake and clutch cables...

However, on my 2017 RGU, it required nothing.

Op

i have 3 road glides, all have bars. 1 bike has 14s F47 malos , 1 12s, yaffee and 1 10s yaffee.

the 10s are the only one that did not require longer clutch or brake.

i do not know how the bars you chose are measured, i know yaffees are measured differently

i think you might need clutch and brake.

Tell me again why you'd prefer to keep the hideous stock garden hoses rather than be the most comfortable you can be?

Hacks!! I hate seeing the clutch cable routed in some half *** attempt to save a buck. Looks like crap. Plus how is that brake hose even remotely close to long enough? I've seen guys attempt to straighten it, then all the finish flakes off. I have a friend who did that on his Street Glide. Looks horrible. You got a good deal on the bike, spend a little of the cash you saved and do it right. I'll look forward to the "check engine light on after changing bars" thread, because the TPS cable is hosed up.

Lets clear this up. I had 16s on my RK that does not mean I want 16s on my RG. I have tried 13s on my buddies 2010 SG and loved them. I was simply asking in advance before I bought longer cables wires so on and then wouldn't need them. I bought the 13s because I want 13s.
