I'm having trouble picturing how the non-slotted ones would work on an Ultra with bag rails?

I was hoping to get the painted version but chrome would look nice also if that is all that is available.

Filling the void for me is for asthetics only.
You can also find this same fitment information on the HD website.

Copper Pearl filler strips (solid version) part no. 45898-08CPH.

Harley's fitment descriptions can be pretty confusing, and parts counter people in the dealerships are normally not very knowledgeable, but spend some time reading the descriptions and you can usually decipher the information you need.

I just went out and looked at the rear of my Ultra again, and I don't see how solid filler strips could possibly work with the saddlebag guard rails installed. The rails come up probably 6" from the bottom of the bag, and they more or less split the gap between the saddlebag and the fender. The nostalgic guard rails only have a single strut that goes in lower than the struts for the Ultra.

Default OK you guys have officially confused the )*&$ out of me

Yes they will no they wont; get the slotted, slotted won't fit. WTF.

I have an 08 Ultra WITH the quick release. I would like it to end up looking like the 09 StreetGlide (filler with the pop out rubber inserts for the antenna). I've placed my Radio Antenna in the front fairing (jury's still out as the reception sucks) and i'd like to get a shorter CB antenna and relocate it somewhere near the bottom coming through the filler. Oh yeah I'd like the filler painted to match.

What if anything will work?
