Question 23" wheel & 360 brake

In the process of building a custom 07 RK from a salvaged bike and have a few questions. (1) Anybody have a good source for a 23" spoke front wheel? and (2) we're loving the look & concept of the 360 front brake but I read on here that maybe they don't stop too well. Anybody have useful (factual) info on that?

Thanks

They now have the MEGA 360 brake for the touring bikes, not sure on performance.

Just saw an ad in American Bagger or Bagger Magazine for the new 360 for Touring models. You might be able to get some info off their web site.

Yeah, I checked the website and it's all "rah-rah-rah" for the 360 but what else would you expect? The guy I'm building the bike for is hell bent on the 360, I'm just trying to keep from making a mistake.

I suggest you ask Jeff @ http://www.theotherblackbike.com/.

I remember he had some input on the 360 that he had on his build but dont remember the details. I think his logon is jskwarek and I just saw where he posted on the 'road king owner' thread.

Jeff, hope you dont mind me passing along your link, IMO your build is one of the finest I've ever seen or heard of.

Not sure if possible, but I have yet to see a 360 brake used on a spoke wheel application. Might look into that first as it will quickly determine which fork in the road to want to follow.

Just looked at their website, "in the process of developing a wire wheel application, check back for updates."

I don't really have any direct experience with the 360, so I can't advise either way. Just thought this new model for tourers might be of interest. It's hard to buy into everything they say on their Homepage, but sometimes you can get some pretty good ideas of the quality. You might try shooting them an email, and ask them for 4-5 customers names and email or phone, and contact them direct for a recommendation. Any quality product ought to be willing to provide some references... Just a thought.
