I was at wallyworld a couple years ago and they were selling out Champion 8810's for a buck each. I cross referenced it and they showed they were for my bike, I bought 4 and have been running a pair since then with no problems. I don't know if they are the best but for me they work great.

Like others have said, there is no miracle science when it comes to spark plugs. You can find some cheaper and more expensive but the stock HD plugs work just as good as any.

The "best sparkplugs" are the ones that work for you.
My tuner likes NGK's and they work good for me.

Be sure when you are changing out any of the ignition parts they are within the Harley specs.
The ECM looks at "ION Sensing" to regulate the spark advance/retard. The range of resistance in the ignition system is what tells the ECM you just had a spark knock when it changes up or down. If what you install doesn't fall inline with the specs, part of your automatic tuning for spark can't work.
Also you will never see the difference with the platinum plugs over the standard plugs. But your wallet will....
As long as you do a bit of homework,,,,, go ahead & use what ever trips your trigger....

Stock plugs. It's easy to find'em and I'm not try to build a rocket ship. The RK starts and I ride it. I also change them 1x a year, even with the low milage I put on. Cheap insurance and easy to do, so why not?

Smile tiny gains with more expensive stuff

We are taking gains of 1% by messing around with plugs that are, in my country, 18 bucks more. That is like adding half the motor in my electric weed eater.

Bottom line-why bother, unless your going for a entire performance package ie:tuner, pipes, breather, and other mods. Ride the thing and enjoy it.

The entire reason they are using the expensive plugs in cars according to my Ford dealer is to get extended 100,000 service out of them. The tips don't burn off like copper and the gap increase is less keeping performance and fuel economy up.
When was the last time you rode your Harley 100,000 before changing the plugs??????? 3500-4500 km . plugs, tranny oil, primary oil, oil change- no problems. Cheap insurance.
