I'm suffering

I'm suffering. I'm suffering from a lack of being able to get on this forum and tell you about all the wonderful trips and places we are going to on our new Ultra.....the mountains, the beaches, all up and down the east coast, Outer Banks, little bitty towns where you go through and wonder what all happened there in their hey day, old southern mansions that beg to tell a story as you ride by and smell the sweet magnolias, and look at all the azaleas blooming, the sweet smell of spring coming out. I'm suffering because I can't tell you of pulling up to some quaint eating joint not sure if it's good or not and finding out it's a wonderful secret of great food that not everyone knows about. Not being able to tell you of the anticipation we feel as we ride down roads we have never been down on our bike not knowing what will be around the next corner. Riding in the back roads of the Appalachian mountains seeing how some of the people still live, wondering how they once lived, heading down roads that cannot be truly enjoyed but on the seat of a motorcycle.

So I'm suffering.....I can't tell you these things because we've only began this season and hubby is working 50 to 60 hours. But it will happen. I'm suffering because I miss posting on this forum because I really don't have anything to add since I don't have any riding going on right now.....currently I'm enjoying the rest of my medical leave, looking forward to starting my new job next week, and cleaning up poop and pee as I'm trying to house train my new chocolate covered ball of Lab puppy and trying to keep her from play biting the blood out of my fingers and arms. I love her though.

I'm suffering because I miss you guys, but otherwise I'm happy, I have so much going for me now and so much to look forward to. :)

Rhonda Everything will be good....Besides that Puppy should be keeping you very busy....and then work next week or so...will keep you busy......It will all work out...And as far as i am concerned you could write a story about you just walking around your yard with your dog and we would be happy with it because you have such a way with words.

Besides we are here for you!!!!!!!

Hey Rhonda!!! So good to see you post! Been wondering how you're doing after reducing stress! How's the pup? What's the pup's name??

So are you feeling better overall? Still stressed?

Guess what...?

I picked up my bike last Saturday (almost closing time @ the dealer). Put 86 miles on for the inaugural ride on Saturday and then did 347 on Sunday! (I put pics in an album in my profile).

Good writer....you capture the reader's attention.

Most of us understand totally what you're talking about. I have all my vacation planned for 09 and 2010 with some really great places on the schedule here in the US and in Canada. Anyplace that I haven't been to before...on two wheels....is exciting to us.

Terrie racks up more vacation time than I do, so she gets to take extra vacation trips without me. Her and another member, SGChick, have a trip planned in the very near future, up to the redwoods. Of course I'm envious.........but it it were reversed I'd not want to be held back, so I encourage her to go!

Rhonda-it will all come together. The pup needs lots of attention right now.
Your new job will get you back into a daily routine.
When you do start riding the posting can wait for a rainy day.

Just ride and enjoy life and all it has to offer! :)

Hi Rhonda! Glad to see your post! I can't wait to read about your travels this season. I don't post often, but I always enjoy reading your posts as you have a way with words.

There are brighter days ahead with the season just beginning for most of us. Keep us posted!

hahaha!! Now I COULD really tell you some tales about walking around in the yard with my pup because we go out many, many times a day. She's becoming intrigued with the sounds of birds, and listens to what is going on in the woods, and I'm trying to promote a positive relationship between her and my cat. So far the cat will lay or sit there and let the pup come a little close, but too close and she growls and hisses. The pup just backs away with that sad look. My cat has been good enough not to give her a swat yet though. I can read my cat's mind, she says "If this little ball of brown stuff thinks I'm moving out of MY yard, it has another think coming." lol!!

Glad to hear all is going well Rhonda.

We have cats as well as dogs and most of the cats accept the dogs. We have a couple that still keep their distance but overall they all get along fine.

Are you crate training the puppy? We did when we are not home and it works well to get them to go outside.
