Deals on leftover 08's

Just curious if any of you guys have been getting any good deals on new 08's. There's an '08 streetglide t a narby dealership and was wondering what kinda offer I should be giving. I realize it all depends on the dealer, but it would seem with the '09s out the demands for a new '08 would be low.

I've got a buddy that bought an '09 SG with the black ice/blue ice custom colors for about $1300 below MSRP.

If he can do that on an '09 I would think you could get at least $2-2500 off a left-over '08.

I'd imagine you could get a smokin deal on an '08. The dealers around me are funny(maybe it's the same everywhere), one dealer has FIVE '08 EG's/UC on the floor and
none of them are marked down. You'd think they'd put a big SALE sign on them to get people interested. They're basicilly 2 year old bikes now and almost the same price as the 2010's coming out. Odd.....

a while back.... Rocky Mount HD had 2008 bikes marked at MSRP, with a $750 rebate, and a matching (or greater) store credit. deals are out there.... then again, Ray Price had the same model 2008 bike for MSRP+ chrome add on's "we put those on, because everyone wants them, anyway"
bottom line... shop around

A dealer in Oklahoma City had several CopperTops in February, a few had ABS.

I got $2k off MSRP on my '08 Ultra w/ABS. I bought it last August. I'm sure you could do even better now.

Take a good hard look at the 09 before you pull the trigger. I wish I had. I'd say that you'll end up spending $3,000 or $3,500 more on an 09 with the same mods. I would say to definitely get the ABS, but if you can live withoutthe ABS you should be able to get a new 08 for 2 to 3 K under MSRP.

If you're in MN, I know St. Paul Harley and Wild Prairie Harley (same ownership) are offering $1,000 for your old hobby...simply meaning if you bring in a fishing rod, a piece old scuba gear, etc, etc, they will give you $1,000 off of MSRP...on 09s, though, I assume.
