Im a new member long time rider. Ive been lurking around here for awhile, and this seems to be a great site.

Im about to buy a 08 ultra, the copper and black 105th with 5200 miles. My question is 19500.00 a good price on this bike.

Welcome to the forum. I can't tell you if that is a good price or not, but I would suggest spending a little more and buying a 09. They have many improvements in gearing, frame/handleing, suspension, larger rear tire bigger front rim. I actually think there are some dealers around here with leftover 08's that you might be able to get for close to that used price.

I agree with the others on the 09, if your spending that kind of money you might as well throw a few more dollars with it and get brand new with the newer technology. If your set on the Copper color I'd check around and see what other Ultras are going for so you can compare. The markets in tough shape right now you should be able to negotiate a good deal. Good luck.

Definitely comparison shop in the area you're in. What's a good deal in one part of the country might be a teriible deal in another. If you're like me and in a relatively isolated area, you're going to have a harder time dealing with the dealer. In a bigger city, you can comparison shop and play the dealers against each other to a degree.

A big welcome to the Forum and congrats on your soon-to-be new bike. That price sounds pretty good as a new one out the door would run you almost 10k more than that by the time you got it home.
