I am having to wait on an 09 RKC because I wanted the ABS option and not a single dealer in my state or any of the surrounding states had one in the color I wanted. I read on another thread that someone got to see a letter of the 10's color changes. From what the writer said in his message there are no new colors, only new combinations of the same colors we already had to choose from on the 09's. I dont care for any of the combinations he stated and my bike wont be here till june 15th. I was just wondering if anyone has heard any other changes besides color to the 10's? They will be out only about 6 weeks after I get my bike and was wondering if I should wait for some of those changes?

This is at least the third thread you have started about this same problem you have trying to decide whether to get your 09 or wait for 2010.

My uneduacated guess is that there will be no changes that cost the MOCO bucks or require any re-tooling. Maybe some little things like improving the ergonomics of the hand controls or some other bolt on bling.

Maybe they'll start putting the premium tourpack hinges on Ultras and raise the MSRP.

They will have to do something just so they can have something new to talk about.

Its a $20,000.00 decision. For me thats a lot of money. Its only a six week longer wait for the 10's but its six weeks of the nicest weather of the year.

Just based on re-sale, I would wait for 2010 bikes.

How soon will the 2010's actually show up at the dealer?

I would guess the price spread between the 09 and 10 won't be that great but the depreciation after one year will be a bit higher for the 09.

If you plan on keeping the bike for awhile and can work some what of a better deal---go with the 09.

I am sure you realize that every year there will be something nicer or shinier. more power, better bling, etc.... If you are ready to ride, buy the 09 and ride the wheels off of it.

I understand what you are saying, but there will always be something newer or better unless you intend on trading every year. If you keep second guessing yourself you will still be here in Sept. without a bike. I am looking at getting another bike when the 2010's come out, but I have my 05 to ride in the time being, but of course I plan on keeping it too.

Second week in July....................Bikes will be arriving week of the dealer show........current models anyway.....New "models" will be soon there after........

This really is becoming a joke. You made the dealer order you an 09...stick with the 09, sheesh! There will always be a new model year coming out no matter when you buy something.

Wow.

+1 on MoCo keeping costs low for the 2010 models. Paint changes or things that require little to no $ will be probably be the changes seen...:)
