i have a '12 street glide and run about 5psi solo. The manual states 0-10 psi for 150lb solo and under. I'm 145. 2 up I run 20psi... I think the pressures are different year by year and bike by bike. I fine the bike runs great for me 0-5psi solo.

I just picked up mine. I was reading the manual on that very topic. It says 30-40 psi for solo riders of 250 lbs. I will check the stock pressure in the am

I went to the low profile shock that has a higher max pressure. I put mine at 45 psi two up. The wife and I are not lite weights. Check the pressure before riding two up. Hav e found that the pressure doesn't always fall off too much. It didn't on the stock shocks either, but I still check them.

I did away with the air line and single schrader valve. Put a valve in each shock, no more cracked or rubbed air lines.

I was riding today and I hit a few bumps and heard a bang/thump. I went to the dealer and asked them to check the pressure and it was at 25. I weigh around 190-195 lbs., so the tech said he recommends putting it at between 40 and 45 for the best overall ride....so we put it at 42. Man.....what a difference...its firmer over bumps but still pretty cushy.

When I got home, I also realized that I have the "multi-tool" that comes with the bike in the back of my sidewall organizer, so it could have been that too....

I'm finding that the lower pressure I run the more unstable or wobble I get in cornering. I'm 220 wife is 110. As a rule I run both solo and two up at around 35 psi. The more aggressive I get in the twisties the stiffer I want that suspension to be so that the bike is stable. If you're not planning to run aggressive then a bit softer is fine. For a trip two up and loaded I'm at 45 to 50 psi. I keep my pump on the bike so I can change if needed. There’s nothing more uncomfortable than your bike moving around and doing things that affect your cornering so stiffer to keep it stable.

25 was really soft for me....I mean I'm husky, but 190-ish isn't all that much! I like the ride between 40-45.

I have a 2012 UC Electraglide and I weigh 175 lbs. I find that at 19 lbs the bike will bottom out on some big bumps and at 20 it rides very harsh, but will sometimes bottom out. I just think the stock shocks are junk.

Default Rear shock air pressure

I have an 07 Street Glide and it is a hell of a rough ride compared to the ultra and the Road Kings Ive had. Somebody said the Street Glides are lowered from the factory so should I still follow the manual or adjust on my own? The dealer has adjusted it to a few different settings and it does seem to help. It does ride better 2 up though.
