Default 2016 Street Glide Horn Switch Replacement

I'm trying to remove the left switch Assembly where the horn switch is to first inspect the wiring there bcuz horn doesn't work. I put a meter on the wires to the horn and no voltage so now I want to check the switch but cannot remove the housing. The button on the back is preventing the 2 piece housing to come apart. How do you remove that button on the back of the assembly? Also once off, are the wires easily exposed to test them? I searched and couldn't find the solution. Thanks!

The switch goes to the BCM. The BCM powers the horn. You need a EDM and most likely a LCM. The DT2 or Snapon P1000 could pin point the problem.

Thanks for the reply! What's a EDM and LCM? Sorry I don't know how the electronics work on a bike.

Everything else works (i.e. lights, signals, headlight, breaklights etc)! It's just the horn that doesn't and no voltage to the horn wires.

EDM = Electricsl Diagnostics Manual
LCM = Left hand control module

The LCM is an enclosed circuit board that’s wired directly to the BCM “Body Control Module” which controls many electrical functions on the bike. The issue could be between the LCM and the BCM or the BCM to the horn. Normally the OEM uses breakout boxes to find the fault or you could use wiring diagrams to test for continuity between the different components. You really need to know what your looking for.
