Welcome to the forum! Check for an exhaust leak. It might be that it is running lean. Do your have a PC or Sert installed on the bike?

A lean condition will make it backfire or (lean pop) when you roll off the throttle. You didn't say if you had a high flow air cleaner or aftermarket exhaust but if you don't have an intake leak, you might want to add alittle more fuel. How does the inside of the pipes look?
