Default Oil Coming Out of Breather

I'm getting little drips of oil coming out from behind the breather cover. I take breather cover off, wipe it down, also take off the filter wipe it down. I can see a remnants of oil coming out of interface behind the filter. I wipe it all down, then it comes back in a week or two.

I've heard this is a common thing... but is there anything I can do about it?

Thanks.
Al.

Yes, run 1/4 to 1/2 qt low on oil. You won't hurt a thing.

I have the same problem on my 09, I tried the oil level at half full cold on dipstick and it is still doing the same thing. air filter is oil soaked and a tiny oil leak where the breathers screw into the head. My 07 had an o-ring to keep it from leaking but never did blow this much oil.

I had this problem as well on my 01 ultra. check your breather hoses for cracks but it sounds like your umbrella valves or your oil pump needs to be aligned which is pretty simple and only takes about an hour or so to pull it apart and fix it.

I have had the same problem. I started putting around 3 1/2 quarts of oil at oil change and seems to stop for now.

I just ran a small filter on it & bypassed it going to the air filter & it looks dry still.

Doherty Machine "MystFree" kit replaces stock umbrella valves and guarantees no oil spitting out of your breathers. http://www.dohertymachine.com/index....e055e96ae06718

I had the same problem after I topped up my oil level about 1000 miles after an oil change. I thought the level was a bit low.

I did get some oil out through the breather after that but it stopped after a couple of weeks once the oil level lowered a bit.

I would run a bit less than full on the dipstick
