Default Supertrapp 168-71580 True Duals for '10-'11 Baggers

Has anyone tried these? I have been wanting some good true duals, but there didn't seem to be a set that met my expectations of what the setup should be for the new frames.

I really do not like the V&H true duals, as the front cylinder exhausts through an extremely long pipe compared to the rear. That to me does not seem efficient.

The Rinehart Extreme duals don't look great and make the oil filler and trans filler pretty much useless unless the bike is cold. The pipes are closer to the same length though, which I like.

The Supertrapp design is how I would have done it if I were to design it. Has anyone tried this setup? Any pictures?

Here's a pic from Supertrapp's site:

It looks to me like the pipes are not parallel. I would like to see a real installation from a forum member...

wonder about clearance- my pal has the V&H X pipe thingy on his 1" lowered Limited and I bang the X pipe on right hand turns.

I've used supertrapps supermegs for years and like them, but I find supertrapp/kerker to be VERY lacking on customer support when tuning questions are asked.

Well it may not be pretty, but from what I gather these and the Rinehart extreme true duals have the best performance. I'm looking for that true dual sound without the V&H design which I think is unbalanced.

I'm not so sure... At least from the dyno charts I've been looking at. Almost everyone claims that they lose torque and have no performance, but I don't agree. Some work better than others, and some actually perform quite well when paired with the correct mufflers. I am willing to bet that a good true dual setup will have a better torque curve than my Thunderheader or even a Fat Cat.
