I just saw the ICM Motorcom ad at the the top of the page. So I checked out their website.
"Looks" like a viable, simple solution for half helmet users on Ultra's?
Anyone with any experience?
i use one for my portable CB on my road king, and it works great. Its lightweight, hardly even realize i'm wearing it, and it gives me the ability to communicate with teh other CB capable bikes in our group.
Thanks - just what I wanted to hear!
Any negatives? Background noise, voice clarity, mic issues?
I was planning on using them with my wife (passenger) on our next trip.
Have used them for some yrs now, they work awesome, a few yrs back they had some problem with wiring after some use, but the new design ones work great, Al

Al, with your comment I highly doubt you're of the Baehr Intercom co..
Would I be wrong?
If I am - you're one hell of a sport!
I had an issue with the PTT button on the headset when i got it, it always had an "open mic" type condition. They promptly sent me back a new headset and its been great ever since. I have no issues with voice clarity either sending or receiving.
I put the IMC MIT 30 on my '07 EGS...primarily for the intercom. Ive also hooked my Sirius Radio directly to the unit....both work great! Speech is clear on the intercom unit...sat radio comes thru clear...although Im going to try the Boostaroo inline amp...just to increase radio volume a tad. Ive used the intercom with my flip-face HJC flipped up...GF says there's NO wind noise. I did call Sierra MC and emailed IMC about hooking the SONY into the unit....no luck. IMC did state that even though it was 2 speakers....it wasn't stereo.
For the money....I can't complain.

I bought the HS-H40U headsets with mic for the half or no helmets. It was great. The sound quality is better than my stock Harley one that is in my 3/4 helmet.
