These are the replacement for the old because they would break at the speaker. They have also updated the upright brackets to.

Yeah, and I updated mine...courtesy of Lowe's and a little "ingenuity".

Yep repaired the two upper ones
Replaced the two lower ones with the new stronger ones.
Now if Harley can come up with a new stronger saddle bag bracket,left one broke but I fixed it !!!

Just pulled the fairing on my '07. They're the old style and one side is bent ! Pretty flimsy looking.

Have the problems with weak brackets been addressed by HD? Did they begin installing heavier brackets in all bikes at factory at any point? Wondering specifically about my 2010.

Your 2010 should have all the newer brackets already.

My 04 broke all 4 brackets. Previous owner did one side, I did the other this summer both vertical and horizontal. The ones connected to the speaker (smaller ones) are greatly improved from the old style. The large ones are kinda a pain to replace but not too bad!
