Great thread on bars. The next best thing to be able to sit on all of your bikes to check them out.
I'm considering the 577's on my S.G.S. and I'm hoping the pull back isnt too much, or I hope I dont regret not going higher.

I ordered some LA Choppers 13" Prime Apes yesterday. After lots of reading and looking at tons of pics. I like the looks and reviews of these bars. Customer service was great when I emailed them multiple times, And then finally called to place the order. All questions were answered and with reasons or information I was looking for. Cant wait to get them and get them installed.

I have an 07 FLHR, I want 16" bars, so I got a set from a friend here in town that had at least a dozen set of bars hanging on his wall. He's on his 3rd set on his 12 street glide. Anyway, They are 39.5" wide, 17" rise, with 10.5" pull back. With arms extended sitting in riding position my wrists are still rotated OUT to match up with the bars!!!!! Same as my factory bars, that I dont like. So looking and reading and sitting on more bikes, mostly FLHX's, I beleive I need less pull back???

So I have found tons of bars with close to my deminsions, on line, but with around 7" of pullback. which appear to be what I want?

another question is some say drilled for throttle by wire, some say will work with both, and other are 07 and earlier. Can I run some for 08-up? Most of those are the ones Im finding to look the best and have MY deminsions. Also can I run bars for an FLHX on my FLHR?

Alot of questions I know, But I want to do it ONCE. LOL

I'm 5'10" and would like my arms even with my shoulders.
On a 2014 Street Glide, would that be the 577 or 576's?
I can't find anyone local that has them to look at yet.

577's only make my hands even and I am 5'6' tall. I would say you need at least 576's

I went with the 578s and love them. Right at the top of the fairing and love the width and wrist angle. I'm 5'11"

Default My 508 on 14 LTD

Here are the 508 on my 14 LTD. I think I'm the last to know that the HD extensions used on the BCM Dyna are the same ones to work on the 14 Touring BCM. Also, Namz sells the switch box extenders too. VERY comfortable bars.

I installed them myself and since the bike is still so new, there are not wire extensions out yet so I cut and soldered extensions into each one. The throttle, brake and clutch cables were all long enough and did not need to be extended.
