I ordered some LA Choppers 13" Prime Apes yesterday. After lots of reading and looking at tons of pics. I like the looks and reviews of these bars. Customer service was great when I emailed them multiple times, And then finally called to place the order. All questions were answered and with reasons or information I was looking for. Cant wait to get them and get them installed.

So after reading most of the posts in these 45 pages I am still confused. While there is a ton of info, SOME of it is a little vague.
I have an 07 FLHR, I want 16" bars, so I got a set from a friend here in town that had at least a dozen set of bars hanging on his wall. He's on his 3rd set on his 12 street glide. Anyway, They are 39.5" wide, 17" rise, with 10.5" pull back. With arms extended sitting in riding position my wrists are still rotated OUT to match up with the bars!!!!! Same as my factory bars, that I dont like. So looking and reading and sitting on more bikes, mostly FLHX's, I beleive I need less pull back???
So I have found tons of bars with close to my deminsions, on line, but with around 7" of pullback. which appear to be what I want?
another question is some say drilled for throttle by wire, some say will work with both, and other are 07 and earlier. Can I run some for 08-up? Most of those are the ones Im finding to look the best and have MY deminsions. Also can I run bars for an FLHX on my FLHR?
Alot of questions I know, But I want to do it ONCE. LOL

That is my bike and I am 5'9" and the bars are a little bit taller than my shoulders.

I installed them myself and since the bike is still so new, there are not wire extensions out yet so I cut and soldered extensions into each one. The throttle, brake and clutch cables were all long enough and did not need to be extended.
